Great Computer, March 6, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Toshiba Satellite P775-S7160 17.3-Inch Laptop (Personal Computers) I am a college student and have had this computer for about only a month now. I think it's great and I have yet to have any problems with it fortunately. The i7 Intel processor is pretty speedy and I have not had any issues with noise even with many applications or programs running simultaneously. The screen is of course big and it looks really clear. The graphics card is solid as well. I room with a handful of computer science majors and play a couple games with them and it has handled those with ease. I also like the feel of the keys and their layout; the keyboard area is actually sunken in a little bit which is kind of cool. I think if anyone had problems with this computer, it would involve the touch-pad. It is pretty sensitive and has a default setting where if you tap it just once real quick, it will perform a click action as if you pressed the click button below it. I don't know if that makes sense but one can change the settings for the touch-pad for both the sensitivity and... Read more

I've had it for about 5 months now. I have not had any problems what so ever with it. Downloads run extremely fast and nothing lags. It's durable and very appealing appearance wise. It isn't a MacBook, but it definitely is a runner up in satisfaction.

That's right, I got 7 years out of that dual core, 1.6ghz machine. I would say I got a great 6 years out of it. I believe the main reason it went downhill is bc I installed some large programs on it and it couldn't handle it. I mention my old Toshiba because I had no issues with it; I was the one who chose to try to run programs it couldn't handle. So I ended up getting another Toshiba...
On this Satellite 775, the 17.3 in screen looks great, its bright and you can zoom in on any site to utilize more of the screen. Of course, most websites aren't built for a great amount of zooming so eventually the text gets blurry.
The hardware is amazing, very good price for everything include; kudos to Intel for making amazing processors. This Satellite handles different browsers and programs and video streams all at once. The sound is amazing, you just need to activate... Read more
